NanoJet UV and Laser Systems
Laser Sintering Module
The IDS NanoJet line of aerosol printers are available with optional laser modules for in-situ or serial laser processing. The integrated laser is well suited for laser processing at the point of aerosol deposition making it possible to thermally process (functionalize) printed materials on temperature-sensitive substrates or across large substrates where traditional processing methods are impractical. Utilizing the integrated NanoJet laser processing module, users can achieve 3x bulk conductivity (or less) of common conductors. Laser and UV curing modules are available in both the stand-alone FS platform and the mountable NanoJet Subsystem.
The IDS NanoJet FS with the laser sintering module includes an interlocked laser-safe enclosure. The interlocked laser enclosure makes the system a Class 1 laser device which is safe for use in laboratory and production environments.

UV Curing Module

Rapid In-Situ UV Curing
The UV curing option enhances the capabilities of the NanoJet printers by adding 365 or 405 nm UV light focused at the point of deposition. With the UV module, UV curable inks can be instantly pinned in place for high aspect-ratio printing. The integrated light source can process materials as-deposited which eliminates the handling risk and time for removing the substrate from the printer for post processing. This capability enables rapid fabrication of multi-material designs when using fast-curing UV inks.
